BOFA is a unique online learning platform, where every question comes as a triplet.
We start with the initial test, which is a summative assessment.
This is followed by differentiated explanations and practice, depending on what you got wrong in the initial test.
Then you complete the retest, which is a formative assessment.
Finally, BOFA creates detailed reports that identify your specific learning needs and areas for improvement.
If you are a school or tutor, these reports can be used to compare learning needs across existing and historical cohorts.
Why do I have to wait between tests?
You are encouraged to wait after the practice stage before taking the retest to ensure learning is embedded in the long-term memory. This means you will be able to retain the knowledge for longer.
The wait time for our adaptive tests is set according to the amount of time available before your exam and the level at which you are working, but for these non-adaptive tests you determine how long you wait, ideally a few days.
We've created a list of our best tips to ensure you succeed with BOFA...
Tests are designed to be done on a regular basis, after you have covered all the material in school or with a tutor. Use them to consolidate your learned material, rather than as a way to teach yourself something for the first time.
Complete the tests on as large a screen as possible.
We recommend you have a pen/pencil and paper nearby to assist with your working out.
Take time to view your progress reports as they are great indicators of your progress. They will be sent to the email address linked to your account.
